Education-to-Career (E2C) Construction and OSHA Program

College of Marin Construction program is an Education-to-Career (E2C) modeled initiative. The E2C model is defined by secured partnerships including 1) community-based organizations to recruit and support students through their trainings 2) College of Marin to provide curriculum, instruction, and overarching programmatic coordination, and 3) industry partnerships to secure employment opportunities for students successfully completing the program. Canal Alliance, College of Marin and Marin Builders Association collaborated in creating this program.

We welcome students including our local immigrant community wishing to enter the construction industry to apply for our Fundamentals of Construction (VOCC100) and OSHA 10 safety training (VOCC110) courses.

This program is offered throughout the year, running 6-12 weeks. Classes are held during accessible times in the afternoons/evenings and on weekends. Students will prepare for construction and carpentry employment and upon successfully completing the class students will receive a skills certificate. Students will receive additional support in preparing for employment placement.
