Career Education Advisory Committee

ADVISORY COMMITEES AND MEETINGS

The Career Education Advisory Committees at College of Marin are made up of volunteers who agree to serve as advisors to one or more career programs. Members include representatives from business, labor, community agencies, faculty, students and other members. The primary purpose of advisory committees is to provide direction and guidance for the specific career and technical area within the college to strengthen and enhance the success of college programs.

Our Priorities:

  1. Support students in completing their educational goals
  2. Build equity within our community aligning all students with opportunities to earn liveable wages
  3. Prepare students in becoming top-notch candidates to pursue successful careers
  4. Work closely with our local businesses and organizations in developing a robust workforce

Advisory Committees meet at least once and sometimes twice each school year. Typically, each meeting lasts for 1-1.5 hours. Program faculty are responsible for scheduling meetings, developing agendas, and preparing minutes of each meeting. Advisory Committee membership lists, agendas, and minutes for each program are available for review through the links on the left.
