2023 Summer Career Academies
Please check back on April 1 for any updates and to begin the application processes. Applications will be open from April 1 - May 1. After May 1 students will be placed on the waitlist for corresponding academies.
JUNE 20-23 (9a.m. - 2 p.m. for 5 days total)
Building Academy: Engineering, Architecture & Construction
Get up-close and personal with careers in planning, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering and construction/project management. 1 college unit.
JUNE 20-23 and JUNE 26-29 (10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for 8 days total)
Game Development
Learn hands-on what it takes to enter the field of game development. 2 college units.
JUNE 26-29 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 4 days total)
Career Exploration
Delve into understanding your unique skills and how to use them to pursue your career interests. 1 college unit.
JULY 10-13 and JULY 17-20 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 8 days total and 1 day for CPR)
Health Ocupations
An introduction to health occupations for students serious about entering the health care industry. Recommended for junior and senior high school students. 2 college units.
JULY 10-14 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 5 days total)
Entrepreneurship
Curious about starting and running your own business? Learn how to turn your business idea into reality. 1.5 college units.
JULY 17-20 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 4 days total)
The Business of Food & Farming
Check out this new academy to learn about agriculture and sustainability. Get your hands dirty while learning about the many exciting careers in the world of food. 1 college unit.
JULY 24 - 27 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 4 days total)
Education & Social Justice
Explore an array of meaningful jobs that enhance the community and world: education, social change and equality for vulnerable and marginalized populations. 1 college unit.
