Earn $28.00 - $32.00 hour during on-the-job training through the Bus Operator Apprenticeship Program.
College of Marin is proud to partner with Santa Rosa Junior College, Canal Alliance, Golden Gate Transit (GGT), and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1575 to offer a pre-apprenticeship-to-apprenticeship pathway leading to an employment opportunity with GGT. Candidates successfully completing the Bus Operator Apprenticeship Program will simultaneously earn a Certificate of Achievement with 12 units of college credit.
Candidate requirements:
- work permit
- current driver's license (Class C license acceptable)
- a clean driving record for past 3 years
- United States high school diploma, GED, or HiSET, OR successful completion of a skills test with Golden Gate Transit
- English level at intermediate to advanced
- age 18+
How to Get Started:
To enter the Bus Operator Apprenticeship Program, first attend courses offered in the SRJC Adult Education Pre-Apprenticeship Program.
